This Used Slipstream is in great shape and ready for its new home.
Renowned kayak designer Derek Hutchinson worked closely with Brian Henry and Current Designs design team to develop the Slipstream, the scaled-down version of the highly successful Gulfstream kayak. With a 16' length and a 22" width, this kayak is sleek in design and performs best with a paddler weighing in less than 170lbs. The nicely detailed cockpit and seating area, along with the low stern deck design, allows the paddler easy, safe movement and control when performing rolls or advanced maneuvers. It is outfitted with a retractable skeg, which gives the kayak stiffer tracking when deployed. The skeg can simply be lifted to allow quick and easy maneuverability. This eye-catching craft is efficiently detailed with full deck rigging and recessed deck fittings, and has three self-sealing rubber hatches (in addition to the forward and rear hatches, a separate small day hatch behind the cockpit offers convenient day storage). The Slipstream has proved itself to be a favorite among North American kayak instructors, a testimony to its performance and quality. Standard Equipment on the Slipstream: Contoured seat, self-supporting backband, additional day hatch, perimeter safety lines, bungee deck straps, retractable skeg, and choice of a variety of deck and hull gel colors. Options: Ritchie Compass installed, Outside Seam Option.
